A Blog All About Barbados, Is It Really Paradise!

Welcome to The Barbados Blog, a Blog all about life in Barbados through the eyes of me, Garry Wynters, an expat 38 year old Scotsman. I’m a rat race escapee seeking a change of scene and a more laid back sort of lifestyle.

Barbados is very much my new home and I plan on sharing with the world what makes this Caribbean Island such a unique country and a great place to live in. I’m most definitely here for the long term, I have spent about £3500 to get here on my flight, container and import duties for my belongings. So there is no way I’m going to be leaving Barbados in the near future.

Through The Barbados Blog I will be sharing with the world my experiences both good and bad about my adventures and experiences on the Island. The aim of this Blog is to provide, anybody that is interested or planning on visiting Barbados a thorough insight into what Barbados is all about and what it has to offer.

In due course I plan on The Barbados Blog becoming the number one resource relating to Barbados, for people thinking about moving here full time and for tourists alike. This Blog will be much more than just the ramblings of Garry Wynters.

As I get more settled into life in Barbados, I plan on visiting all the tourist attractions, I will visit every beach that the island has to offer, I will take in as many good bars, rum shops and restaurants as I can, which will obviously be mainly in the name of research, I will also be discussing what it is like to actually live and work in Barbados.

What I will be offering is an honest viewpoint regarding Barbados, so if I feel something deserves to be praised, I will do so, and likewise if something is worthy of my wrath it most certainly will receive it. The Barbados Blog welcomes comments and input from readers of this site, so if you feel you have something worthy to say, lets here it.
