Hooked On The Red Stuff Called Sorrel
I must admit I have developed a real craving for Sorrel Syrup Juice since I moved to Barbados all those many months ago. It has such a unique and delicious taste that I cant seem to live without it.
It is such a quick and easy drink to make, a wee drop of sorrel concentrate, some water and of course some ice, all in a large glass. It is a perfect thirst quencher, which I must have on a daily basis.
I know there are many purists out there that will moan at me for not taking the time and effort to make the real thing from the plant, which I will have to do one of these days.
From what I have heard the real Sorrel drink tastes out of this world, I cant believe I haven’t tasted it yet. My family members are letting this Scotsman down; maybe it tastes so good they don’t want to share it with me.
She’s Royal, A Truly Beautiful and Inspiring Song
During my recent trip to London it didn’t take long for me to be missing the warmth, sunshine and beautiful beaches of Barbados and of course the special ambiance of the island, but above all I was missing my wife.
A song that I have frequently heard playing in the bars and rum shops, which I occasionally frequent in Barbados, called “She’s Royal” by Taurrus Riley and for me it is a beautiful, soothing and inspiring song. Which when I heard it in London the other day, made me want to jump on the next plane and rush back to Barbados to be with my wife.
If you haven’t heard this song before you have been missing out on a fantastic song, which for me will become a classic, I personally never get tired of hearing it.
Always treat your woman right, give her the love and the respect she deserves and always be good to her, and you will get it all back in abundance.
The Return of the Wandering Scotsman and His Unique Insight Into Barbados
Due to personal circumstances beyond my control I haven’t recently been able to publish very many articles on The Barbados blog, but now I’m back and ready to roll. I’m ready, able and willing to get things back on track and hopefully deliver many more interesting and well-written articles relating to my own personal viewpoint on life in Barbados.
I promise to take it easy on those hairy woman and their admirers who don’t seem to like the kind words or help that I have offered them, but maybe one of these days they will wake up and listen, The Hairy Legged Woman of Barbados and Hairy Woman At Carlisle Bay, Ban Them All!
Also Prime Minister David Thomson you will be glad to know that I’m back on track and I shall continue to periodically offer you a few pointers to help make Barbados a better place to live for everyone, including locals, tourists and migrant workers, 5 Simple Steps To Improve Tourism In Barbados and Barbados Provides Me With The Bumpiest Rides Of My Life.
During a recent visit to London, I came across an advert for a 4-week all-inclusive stay at a very nice hotel in Barbados, flying with BA for an unbelievable £799, during August. That makes me wonder if it is going to be a real tough time ahead for those involved in the tourism sector.
