The Boardwalk and The Wandering Scotsman and What a View

I was just lazing around indoors avoiding the cold weather on one of my trips back to London, when I was looking through the many pictures I had taken in Barbados. When I came across a picture that I was particularly drawn to and which I truly love and before you ask, it’s not because I’m in it, but because it reminds me of the beautiful Caribbean sea and the fantastic walk you get along the Boardwalk  in Barbados.

When I was looking at that picture, I almost felt as if I had been instantly transported back to Barbados and that I was enjoying the warm sunshine on my body,  I swear I could here the soothing sounds of the Caribbean Sea and that I could see countless pretty girls walking past me. Then I suddenly snapped out of it , when another police siren came whizzing past my home in London.

A Real Piece of Amazing Barbados Graffiti

Wondering around St Lawrence Gap after a meeting I came across the above piece of graffiti on an old piece of board, which I found kind of poetic. It wasn’t obviously the most artistic piece of artwork that I have ever come across, but I somehow found it intriguing.

A few simple words, “NO Cash You Crash” and the dollar sign on an old piece of beat up wood, they may be simple words but there is a ring of truth to them. I think this graffiti artist has hit it on the nail with his simple but extremely eye-catching piece of artwork. It is just a pity that they never signed it, so they can get the credit they deserve.

You never know but the artist behind, “No Cash You Crash” could be the next Andy Warhol, stranger things have happened.

Fusilier Road, A Must Visit Road In Barbados

Fusilier Road at Gun Hill Signal station was built by the Royal Scots Fusiliers during their stay there from September 1862 until February 1863. When I walked along this road it, felt good to walking on a such a historic road built by my fellow countrymen, who were so far from home.

Another historic signal station that I would recommend visiitng would be A Fun Day Trip – To Grenade Hall Forest & Signal Station

A Picture Is A Worth A Thousand Words

Sometimes very few words are needed to describe a situation or a moment in time. Well today I’m going to let the picture do the talking for me as I enjoy live in Barbados.

The above picture poetically portrays what I love about life in Barbados; I suppose back home in Scotland the weather will be very unpredictable at this time of the year. In fact back home some days there will be four seasons on one day, which is kind of crazy.

Life is sweet, having the choice to be able to go to a beautiful beach to relax and take things easy any time I have any free time.

I have discovered a new business opportunity by chance, which I am avidly in the process of putting together and I have the Caribbean Sea and my time spent with my own thoughts at the beach to thank for lighting the spark.

Old Stone Jetty, Oh What a Great Place

I took this picture of an old stone jetty at the hotel, which I was staying at St Lawrence Gap in Barbados. I use to love standing on that old ruined jetty watching the waves or the sun setting at the end of the day. For me it is a very special place, it may be on the grounds of the hotel, but there would usually never be very many people at the jetty, so my family and myself would most of the time have it all to ourselves.

What can I say apart from what a place, what a view and that I shall return.
